Coming soon

Quantities from the drawings, tied to the scope.

What will Folio Takeoff do?

Takeoff is coming soon. It will produce quantities from the drawing set and tie each quantity to the scope line it belongs to, so the scope and the quantities stay connected. Details on what it measures will be published when it ships.

THE OLD WAY

Quantities in one file, scope in another.

Takeoff and scope are usually produced in different tools by different people. When one changes, the other has to be reconciled by hand.

Takeoff in Folio is coming soon. It is designed to keep quantities and scope lines connected.

WHAT IT WILL DO

Planned for Takeoff.

Quantities from the drawing set

Quantities measured from the indexed drawing set. Scope of measurement to be confirmed at launch.

Why it matters: Quantities and scope from the same set should agree with each other.

Tied to scope lines

Each quantity attaches to the scope line it belongs to in Scope Breakdown.

Why it matters: A quantity without a scope line is a number without a home.

Feeds the estimate

Quantities carry into Estimate where they meet your unit prices.

Why it matters: The estimate is quantity times price. Both should come from the same place.
