PIPELINE

Every pursuit, and where it stands.

One list of deals by stage. The stage moves as the drawings, scope and bid packages move, so the pipeline reflects the work, not a status someone remembered to update.

Currently onboarding select GC partners.

What is a preconstruction pipeline tracker?

A preconstruction pipeline tracker is a record of every pursuit or deal and the stage it is in. Folio's Pipeline lists each pursuit with its project stage, and the stage updates automatically as the drawings are uploaded, the scope is written and the bid packages progress. Win probability is entered by the team.

THE OLD WAY

A pipeline spreadsheet nobody trusts.

The pursuit list lives in a spreadsheet. Stages are updated when someone remembers. The precon meeting starts with ten minutes of correcting it.

The actual state of each pursuit is in the drawings folder, the scope document and the bid packages, which the spreadsheet cannot see.

Folio tracks the pursuit next to the work, so the stage changes when the work does.

WHAT FOLIO DOES

Deals by stage, kept current by the work.

Deal and pursuit tracker

Every pursuit in one list with its project stage, from first look to award.

Why it matters: One list the whole team reads from.

Stages that update with the work

Project stages update automatically as drawings are uploaded, scope is written and bid packages progress.

Why it matters: The pipeline reflects what has actually happened on each pursuit.

Win probability, entered by the team

Record the team's win probability for each pursuit. Folio stores and shows it. It does not calculate it.

Why it matters: The judgment stays with the people who know the client and the competition.
