RISK REVIEW

See the risk in the drawings before you price them.

Folio builds a risk register from the drawing set. Every item links to the sheet it came from, so the team can open it and decide.

What is a drawing based risk register?

A drawing based risk register is a list of project risks identified by reading the drawing set, with each risk tied to the sheet where it appears. Folio's Risk Review reads the indexed drawing set and builds a risk register, linking each item to its source sheet so the team can open the drawing and judge the risk for themselves before committing to a number.

THE OLD WAY

Risk found at the job site, not at the bid.

Most drawing risk is visible in the set. A detail that conflicts with the plan, a note that shifts scope to the contractor, a sheet that does not match its revision. It is just not looked for, because the bid is due and the set is long.

The risk gets priced by instinct or not at all, and shows up after award as a change order or a margin hit.

Folio reads the set for risk and writes it down, with the sheet reference, so the decision is made before the number goes out.

WHAT FOLIO DOES

A register from the set, with the sheet behind every line.

Risk register built from the drawings

Folio reads the indexed drawing set and lists the risks it finds in a register the team can review, edit and add to.

Why it matters: A written register turns instinct into a decision the team can discuss.

Every item linked to its source sheet

Each risk points to the sheet where it appears. Open the sheet from the register and judge the risk directly.

Why it matters: A risk you can see on the drawing is one you can price or exclude with confidence.

Reviewed alongside the scope and the estimate

The register sits with the scope and the estimate for the same set, so risk is part of the number, not an afterthought.

Why it matters: Risk, scope and price belong in one conversation.
